Australian Homelessness Cohort Consortium
Synopsis
Most Australian children and adolescents thrive, with very good health and wellbeing and high life expectancy. However, those who are at risk of or who experience homelessness face major adversity that impacts their health and development, life expectancy, and life chances.
The Australian Homelessness Cohort Consortium has been established to better understand pathways to homelessness, both within and across generations. Specifically, we are investigating questions relating to:
a) rates and patterns of homelessness, and
b) modifiable social determinants that place children, adolescents and adults at increased/reduced risk of homelessness.
